i have a strong sense that i'm bi & i don't know what to do with these feelings. i'm in a very strong christian community and i just honestly can't tell anyone i know. please pray for me. thank you for your blog <3

Just because you feel something doesn’t mean you are to be that way. Christ said it best “For from the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, all sexual immorality, theft, lying, and slander.” We are to avoid all these things.” You hear the world say “follow your heart” but your heart is a liar and your thoughts not always knowing.  Instead Follow Christ and lean on God who is all knowing and ever truthful.

I would also like to point out that what you are going through is “natural” to humanity. ( No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.) 1 Corinthians 10:13.  I can guarantee you that within your community and even maybe your own parents have dealt with thoughts like this. More and more people are coming out of the woodwork that live Godly lives, who have dealt with thoughts of homosexuality and have been restored.  I say this to reassure you that although you have these thoughts bombard you there are many who have overcome this through our most amazing Savior.  Homosexuality although it seems to affect only certain people: I can certainly tell you that it is presented to all individuals at one point. Just like lying I have not yet met one person that was not tempted to lie, likewise all sin is presented to human kind as a temptation some of us are easier attracted to things than other people. We must not view straight as the opposite of these sins but rather Holiness is the opposite of all sin.

I heard once on a radio station either KLOVE or AFR and I am paraphrasing but this is the best advice I have ever heard when it comes to temptation.  Think about what God wants to show us because when we are being tempted it is our enemies trying to distract us from something glorious God wants to share with us. When this happens we must drop to our knees in prayer, lift our hands in praise, read his word or whatever have to in order to Lift up our King as King and hear out the truth.

I have been praying for you and I hope you receive this message and whoever else happens on this I hope that Gods truth be shown to you. May The Eternal king bless you!

My love to you in Christ Jesus,

Forgiven: Homosexuals can't change?

ilovelovelythings:

romangm1:

(Again from This Site here another excerpt from the booklet “When Passions are Confused: Understanding Homosexuality”)

The Bible plainly states that people can overcome homosexuality. After listing a number of categories that typically characterize unbelievers, including “homosexual…

I really admire you.  My brother is an ex-Homosexual as well.  He talked to a woman of God at a Bible study and he told her he couldn’t help it because he was born that way.  She told him that we all have sin and that is why tyhe Lord Jesus calls us to be “Born Again”  It was so simple and made so much sense.  He really accepted Jesus into his heart this time and I can see the change in his life.  He is so happy and is growing in the Lord.  The Bible is always in his hand now and I see my brother now the way the Lord Jesus meant for him to be.  He is seriously like a whole new man.

I am a newly ex-gay. I really appreciate your blog! I know that God is in the process of changing my life - sometimes the temptations still show up - but they're getting fewer and fewer every day. :) I'm glad there are people out there like you that exist - and can show the world that all things are possible through the blood of Jesus Christ!

+++++

AMEN! Thank you so much but it is Christ who strengthens me to do any of this. Isn’t he an Amazing Wonderful Counselor? The temptations I have not written too much about but, i want to assure you that I battle temptations too so do not feel hindered by them. (1 Corintians 10:13 The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.)

God bless. Keeping you in my prayers do the same for me please.

My love to you in Christ Jesus,

Is gay Okay in Christianity?

( I personally didn’t write this however this is exactly how i wanted to put it)(it comes from an excerpt  here its in a booklet “When passions are Confused: Understanding homosexuality”)

Some people speculate that the biblical passages indicating homosexual activity as sinful refer to a completely different kind of homosexuality than is practiced today.

For instance, they suggest that Leviticus 18:22, which states, “Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable,” is only condemning homosexuality associated with pagan religious practices. A similar claim is made regarding the apostle Paul’s comments about homosexual behavior in Romans 1:24-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, and 1 Timothy 1:9-10. Some propose that Paul’s statements referred only to pederasty (sex between men and boys) or prostitution involved in pagan worship. In either case, it is argued that Paul did not have in mind “loving and committed” homosexual relationships.

One of the major shortcomings in this sort of speculation is that there is nothing in the surrounding context of these passages that justifies limiting the meaning of these verses to homosexuality involved with pagan worship or to pederasty. The meaning certainly included such activities, but there’s no evidence to suggest that Paul was referring to these activities exclusively.

Conversely, the context shows, for example, that it’s impossible to restrict the meaning of Romans 1:24-27 to pederasty, given that Paul referred to female homosexuality in the same way as male homosexuality: “Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another” (vv.26-27).

Furthermore, an examination of the Greek word arsenokoites used by Paul in 1 Corinthians 6:9 and 1 Timothy 1:10 clearly shows that his intent was to condemn all homosexual lust and behavior, including what takes place today.

Biblical scholars have long understood the Greek word arsenokoites translated “homosexual offenders” in 1 Corinthians 6:9 and “perverts” in 1 Timothy 1:10 to mean “one who lies with a male as with a female, a sodomite.”12 It’s also been demonstrated that Jews in the Greek civilization acquired the word arsenokoites from the Greek Old Testament text of Leviticus 18:22 and 20:13, which condemns homosexual activity in general.13

It’s evident that Paul didn’t restrict the meaning of this word to certain kinds of homosexual behavior. Even ancient Greek writings used it in a broad sense that would include all homosexual behavior.14 Therefore, according to Paul, all forms of homosexual activity are sinful.

You make too many false assumptions. I do walk with Christ. His spirit fully engulfs me. I do not fantasize and lust over men. I have chosen celibacy because I know in my heart that I'm just not meant to be with a woman. I'm not meant to be with either. I can't go against the way God created me and try to force myself to be a certain way just because another Christian thinks it's the only way. Like you said, Paul was celibate. Also, you don't have to copy/paste the Bible for me. :)

Brother, you said yourself you are gay which means you have sexual desires for the same sex, but you do not act on these desires. Having gay desires says that you have thoughts of being with other men in ungodly ways or else they wouldn’t be “gay” thoughts/inclinations/desires. If this is not what you mean by gay then what do you mean? I have not said anything against your celibacy, I also am celibate, and someone who can control their sexual desires is strong willed. I am not saying for you walk the same way I do but as Jesus did as that is the only way

I don’t say this to discourage but encourage you to let go of the things that hold you back brother. We can’t continue to entertain thoughts that could very well become action. We all know that thought leads to action, action to habit and so on. Break the cycle before it has a chance in becoming a habit you can’t quit.  I am not telling you that celibacy is wrong or that you have to be with a woman. Rather I am telling you have to deny all your desires and pick up your cross daily just as Christ says to you. Why else do you think Christ says, “If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple.  And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple”?

God created you but iniquity has separated us from our real purpose, you are not born that way, God made you for better and I don’t mean a straight life I mean a life made for his glory. The copy and paste, I do that for the benefit of those who might come across the post to further share the word.

My love to you in Christ Jesus,

Roman

How are you an ex-gay? I mean, I'm gay and a Christian, but I recognize that it's not something I can change (I've tried, the feelings never change) and merely choose not to act. If you're saying you've somehow converted to heterosexuality, I'm inclined to think you were bisexual and not homosexual to begin with. In Leviticus only the acts homosexuality are condemned (lying with a man as you would a woman), not the inclinations, so there's no reason to try to be straight instead of celibate.

Brother, it can be changed it’s something Christ changes, walk with him and you will see what I mean.My sexuality i have let you know and i gave you information to let you know that I was in a Homosexual relationship and lived a homosexual lifestyle in my testimony so please drop this ploy of denying that ex-gay is real. Lets get to the heart of this question, basically, the way you see it you say that by your thoughts you cant be condemned yet the Bible and even Christ Contradict this. (Matthew 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. Isaiah 59:7 Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths. Proverbs 15:26 The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the Lord: but the words of the pure are pleasant words.) Thoughts or inclinations can be condemned, However, that is why we give it to christ to overcome these things. He was tempted but sinned not. do you really think christ thought dirty thoughts. He was without sin because he didnt let his mind wander he held close to God and did what he was supposed to do and followed Gods very will. We are to do the same. It is not about becoming straight it is about being redeemed, becoming holy, and then God will allow you to have a relationship that is a Godly union that he has always intended to be between male and female only. Now to look on a man and say he is handsome isn’t gay however when you start to ponder on it and then fantasize that is sinful as that in itself is lust and homosexuality. There is a reason to deny homosexuality in all it essence it happens to be because thats what Christ has asked of us. To deny our life and bear our cross. Mark 10:21-31 21 Looking at the man, Jesus felt genuine love for him. “There is still one thing you haven’t done,” he told him. “Go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”22 At this the man’s face fell, and he went away sad, for he had many possessions.23 Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, “How hard it is for the rich to enter the Kingdom of God!”24 This amazed them. But Jesus said again, “Dear children, it is very hardt to enter the Kingdom of God.25 In fact, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God!”26 The disciples were astounded. “Then who in the world can be saved?” they asked.27 Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But not with God. Everything is possible with God.”28 Then Peter began to speak up. “We’ve given up everything to follow you,” he said.29 “Yes,” Jesus replied, “and I assure you that everyone who has given up house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or property, for my sake and for the Good News,30 will receive now in return a hundred times as many houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and property—along with persecution. And in the world to come that person will have eternal life.31 But many who are the greatest now will be least important then, and those who seem least important now will be the greatest then.

Brother, I strongly recommend that you delve into the word and draw closer to our king. You can be changed In the Name of Jesus Christ and I pray you see what God wants for your life. ( Forgot to mention also Paul himself was celibate as was Christ Paul says it is better to be single, for some that is the right way, but the right way for all is to deny all your life and give it to christ. I myself have decided to be celibate until I am at the right place with God.)

How Dirty To just be Cleaned.

I am so ugly so dirty inside. The lies the devil tells me to make me run and hide.

Clawing and tearing deep within my soul. Saying you are forgotten never to be whole.

I feel so distant as far as a star.  So Blinded I cant see where you are.

I fear the distance I dont want to be lost. Then you remind me It was you on the Cross.

You washed me clean long long ago. Sins were forgiven Christ saved my soul.

Forgive me God I am a sinner. Christ The King the ultimate winner.

Born sinner Christ redeemed, Born dirty Christ-ly cleaned.
